Bakpharm Ltd is a family run business based in Nairobi, Kenya. Starting from humble beginnings in 1978 occupying a small office space of 2000 square feet, the company was primarily involved in the importation and distribution of pharmaceutical products.

Bakpharm Ltd has since then moved its focus to becoming distributors of a wide range of hospital equipment, surgical instruments and medical disposables. In doing so the company has greatly widened its horizons being able to serve clients throughout East Africa as well as other parts of Africa. In order to accommodate our growing customer base the company has since relocated to now allow for a total of 60,000 square feet of storage space which is shared between our main office in Gikomba and a warehouse facility in industrial area.

By increasing and improving our storage facilities, we are able to offer a lot of our products in substantial quantities as ‘ex-stock’. We carefully source our products worldwide and maintain good relations with overseas manufacturers so that we can then provide our clients with high quality products at competitive prices.

Bakpharm Ltd serves a very diverse customer base ranging from primary care practices (e.g. pharmacy), government and private hospitals, doctors clinics, non-governmental organisations and other private consumers.

Over the years we have built up considerable experience in the healthcare market specifically relating to the extensive range of surgical instruments and medical disposables, and this therefore allows us to deliver high quality healthcare products to our clients which we hope will reflect to improved healthcare for the patients.

Our product range has been built over the years to meet the local requirements of a variety of healthcare providers therefore as part of our continued commitment and individualised service to our clients we are able to source any other products that may not be found on our site.
